According to Dongarra, China is the largest consumer and manufacturer of supercomputers. So far, China has 173 supercomputers manufactured by companies like Lenovo, Inspur, and Sugon.

In the future, Dongarra believes that supercomputers will become more customized, evolving from combining the central processing units (CPU) and graphics processing units (GPU) to accelerating operations to computers containing other accelerators.

Lu Yong, Senior Vice President of Huawei and President of the China Region, said that Huawei would collaborate with Chongqing to build a smart city further.

Over the past few years, Huawei has participated in the infrastructure construction of Chongqing's 5G, cloud, and artificial intelligence.

According to him, smart cities need to be "perceptive, thinking, evolvable, and warm" to deepen their renewal. Therefore, Huawei will work with Chongqing to develop a smart city based on four aspects: an urban digital base, smart capability integration, manufacturing industry development, and a prosperous application ecosystem.

As Chongqing aims to become a national advanced manufacturing center, Huawei will aggregate Chongqing's characteristic industries, such as intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, and autonomous driving, into tens of billions of industrial clusters.
