Chongqing- The 2022 Smart China Expo is open! With the theme of "Smart City," iChongqing has created a series of bilingual videos to highlight our city's achievements in Smart Healthcare, Smart Education, Smart Transportation, and Smart Tourism in recent years.

"The application of technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and 5G has raised the bar for smart culture and tourism development," said the relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Information Center. "The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development has placed great importance on developing Chongqing's smart cultural tourism."
On the one hand, Chongqing has built a smart cultural tourism radio and television cloud to integrate systems and data for better overall services and supervision. On the other hand, the city actively promotes smart tourism development, including constructing smart scenic spots and smart tourism villages.
A number of smart scenic spots, smart bookstores, smart museums, and demonstration scenarios of 5G integration of culture, business and tourism have been built in downtown Chongqing.
For instance, Yuzhong District has developed the cloud tourism experience by releasing online 3D maps and panorama tours and posting QR codes on cultural relics and historical buildings.
Among scenic spots is a VR supersensory experience offered by the Yangtze River Cableway, the first of its kind in China.
Furthermore, tourists can enjoy the sensation of "sliding" along the Yangtze River Cableway without standing in line or worrying about bad weather. Wearing VR glasses, tourists can see the Yangtze River's whole scenes in real-time.
Currently, 39 rural demonstration sites and 41 scenic spots are available for smart tourism at the municipal level. Visitors with successful reservations can enter the scenic spots by scanning their ID cards or Chongqing Express codes.
