Tencent's first rural construction pilot landed in 2021 in Youyang County, with Hejiayan Village as the core demonstration area for exploring a sustainable rural construction model supported by digital technology.
The Hejiayan cloud service showcases the overall appearance of the village, while the Hejiayan smart guide brings the village online with technologies such as virtual reality (VR), intelligent voice, hand-drawn maps, etc.

For elderly care, where Tencent launched Yinfa Technology Laboratory in Wuxi County to build a wisdom-based elderly care service platform.
"For example, with an 'invisible caregiver' AI care camera, rural grid workers can monitor the elderly in real-time in case they fall at home, proving a safe life guarantee for elderly people living alone," said Kavin Hu, General Manager of Tencent Southwest Headquarters.

Tencent has continued to promote social welfare and provide sustainable social value innovation. Tencent has accelerated its pace since opening its southwest headquarters in Chongqing, conducting cooperative projects in rural revitalization, public welfare donations, digital assistance, tech for the elderly, carbon neutrality, and other fields.
