Among these shining masterpieces, certain leading artists in Chongqing also compose the anthem of a new era through their works. Half of these works spread out a scene of prosperity before us, like Pang Maokun's "New Village of Ethnic Yi Welcomes You," Zhao Xiaodong's "Fresh Fruit and Vegetable" and "A New Era of Happiness" by Huangshan, and other three painters.

Meanwhile, the other half praises the heroes who protect the peaceful life for us, that is, Jiao Xingtao's "Flaming Youth," Cai Xunsheng's "The Peace Mission of China's Blue Helmets at UN Peacekeeping" and still "The Light of Spring in Gele" by Pang Maokun.

Pang Maokun's oil painting "New Village of Ethnic Yi Welcomes You," taken as an instance here, is based on Sanhe Village of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. Sincerely, the effect of poverty alleviation reflects on the faces of villagers. Not the beautiful scenery of the new countryside, but more the brilliant smiling faces in the painting touch our hearts.

As for "Flaming Youth" by Jiao Xingtao, the sculpture portrays a young firefighter who wears heavy combat fatigues and carries a weighty air-breathing apparatus. His right hand tightly clutches the hose and ropes with a fire helmet in the other hand. Soot hides his face but not his determined gaze. That's what a hero looks like.

When you see Cai Xunsheng's oil painting "The Peace Mission of China's Blue Helmets at UN Peacekeeping, " you'll notice the blue-helmeted and gun-toting soldier looking warily into the distance. Behind him is a group of refugees hurrying away from danger. The whole picture embodies the noble responsibility of Chinese peacekeepers to maintain world peace.
