In this very moment, history is being written. As our comrades gather in Beijing to shape the next five-year plan and chart a course toward resolving global problems and challenges, all eyes will be on them. China today is more than just a vast country with a robust economy and a massive population. Regarding collaboration, China is quickly becoming the standard bearer and driving force. President Xi Jinping's speech today was historic because it envisaged China's progress toward socialism with Chinese characteristics and its goals for the future. He envisioned a people-centered approach to development and a new way of thinking about running the country.

Creating a new type of human civilization, which includes the shared prosperity of all people, the promotion of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and the empowerment of the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity, is, in my opinion, impossible without first constructing a modern socialist country. China will need to continue its reform policy and opening up to create a socialist market economy at the top level to get there.

From my perspective as an environmentalist, the speech provided valuable guidelines for fostering rural renewal, the bedrock of poverty alleviation, speeding up the building of sustainable agriculture without sacrificing green development, and preserving the one-of-a-kind harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

Finally, I hope our comrades have a productive meeting that honors China and the entire human race.
