Beyond business networking, The 2022 Experience Singapore Week will feature the Singapore Festival to highlight the Singaporean tourism experience and provide visitors an opportunity to take in the sights and flavors of Singapore.

One of the highlights includes art installations from i-Light Marina Bay, Singapore's annual light festival. These installations are specially designed with energy-saving lights or environmentally friendly materials to encourage sustainability.

"One of them, called Alone Together, depicts people who may be physically separated during the pandemic but are united in heart and mind," Teo said. "This is an analogy of how our cities have supported each other through these challenging times."

Chongqing and Singapore share a close relationship thanks to the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI).

In addition to the priority cooperation areas, including aviation, transport and logistics, financial services, information, and communications technology, the CCI has also fostered cooperation in other areas, such as talent development, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism.

With Chongqing as its operating base, the CCI aims to catalyze the growth of western China by enhancing its connectivity with the rest of China and beyond, said Tan Lui Hai, Director of Chongqing Connectivity Initiative Office, Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore.

Data shows that since the CCI launch, 235 projects in the financial services sector amounting to 29.04 billion US dollars have been actualized.

"We will be marking the seventh anniversary of the CCI next month. I am confident that the CCI will continue to go from strength to strength as we attract more partners and talent to strengthen our network," he added.
