Halloween in China | Alex in the City

Chongqing- Alex in the City. In this episode, I share my experience of Halloween in Chongqing on Oct. 29, China. Cultures around the world have traditional days of the dead or for ghosts, which are thousands of years old and part of their tribal folk religions before the advent of Christianity in Europe and Buddhism in Asia. Yet, China doesn't tend to celebrate Halloween. The Chinese have traditional days of the dead that are much more popular such as the Ghost Festival and the Qing Ming Festival. Nowadays, young Chinese people like Halloween very much because it is an excuse to dress up and attend a big masquerade party to relax.
