Li Wan-in, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu, said after the performance, "film is not only about telling stories but also showing the background of an era and people's living habits. Film and music can achieve cross-regional and cultural exchanges. Many people took pictures when the classic line 'Love you for 10,000 years' in the film Journey to the West played on the big screen. It is undeniable that the classic Hong Kong films touched everyone."

After the concert, an elderly viewer on crutches said he was deeply touched and hoped there would be more such activities.
In recent years, Hong Kong and Chongqing have seen various cultural cooperation and exchange activities. For example, to strengthen collaboration between Hong Kong and Chongqing, the Hong Kong SAR Government established the Chongqing Liaison Office under the Chengdu Office in Chongqing in January 2012. This time, the liaison office in Chongqing specially invited the Chongqing Symphony Orchestra and the famous young conductor Liang Jun to perform for the concert.
