As a name card of Fuling District and a major brand in Chongqing, the pickle has become famous both at home and abroad, together with French pickles and German sweet and sour kale are known as the world's three most famous pickles.
"During the pickle's deep processing, Fuling District has advocated intelligent and green development," said Liu. "There are many cooperation projects with scientific research communities and institutions. We hope our suggestions can make the government pay more attention to the scientific and technological input of the pickle industry."
For another, Liu mentioned that Chongqing's pickle industry has strong advantages with the whole industrial chain, and it should be built as a global well-known consumer brand. To this end, Fuling Zhacai Group should closely combine the local characteristics, and take the Chongqing pickle industry forward.

Fuling Zhacai Group is the largest enterprise in China's pickle industry, selling products to 81 countries and regions around the world, especially the United States, Japan, and some places in Europe.
"We hope that by giving full play to Fuling Zhacai Group's advantages as a leading enterprise, we can improve the whole industrial chain, especially the growers' income," said Liu.
In the Fuling region, the per capita net income of pickle industry growers has already passed the threshold of 3,000 yuan in 2021. "We hope that we can help the local residents to further improve income with government support," she added.
