Chongqing Company Innovates Intangible Cultural Heritage Industry

Chongqing - As highlighted in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China is committed to preserving its intangible cultural heritage. Sanxia Embroidery Handicraft Co. Ltd, a leading embroidery company based in Chongqing's Wanzhou District, contributes greatly to this effort.

Sanxia Embroidery Handicraft Co. Ltd., based in Chongqing's Wanzhou District, is a leading embroidery company specializing in intangible cultural heritage. Since its establishment in July 2005, the company has received numerous accolades, including "Ethnic Minority Special Needs Commodity Designated Production Enterprise" and "Chongqing Key Cultural and Tourism Enterprise."

In addition to traditional embroidery, Sanxia Embroidery has established its brand with the "Space of Needle & Thread" line of high-end embroidered products. There are three major categories in the product line: "Embroidery Home Furnishing," "Jade-like Small Objects," and "Art Work Collection." By applying traditional embroidery craftsmanship to multiple fields, such as environmental art, home decoration, classic clothing, and personalized customization, the company has preserved and passed on traditional embroidery craftsmanship.

In today's diversified and highly competitive market, intangible cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship face serious challenges, such as lack of product innovation, outdated production modes, single sales methods, and lack of successors.

Through big data and artificial intelligence technology, the company has established a professional technology team and developed multiple software platforms, including the "PCP Personalized Customization Platform," "OMS Artificial Intelligence Production Management System," and "EMP Enterprise Comprehensive Information Management Platform." By digitizing research and development, intelligent production, and online sales, the company has effectively solved difficulties and bottlenecks in product research and development, production, and sales of traditional craftsmanship.

By optimizing the platform mechanism thoroughly, the company has been able to increase the quality of its products, provide a better sales experience, and tap into the vast demand for customized products and high-value conversions of traditional craftsmanship.

With its commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship and contributing to poverty alleviation, the company exhibits Chinese culture's strength and international competitiveness.

In the next three years, Sanxia Embroidery aims to establish an online and offline integrated exhibition and marketing platform that covers the national and global intangible cultural heritage industry. The platform will serve as the basis for gradually creating a seamless online and offline industrial model, generating annual sales revenue of 800 to 1,000 million yuan (about 116.16 to 145.2 million U.S. dollars) and contributing to revitalizing the intangible cultural heritage industry.

Aside from cultural preservation, the company contributes to poverty alleviation in the country. Since 2019, the company has established a "Sanxia Embroidery Inheritage Poverty Alleviation Workshop" in Longju Town and a Sanxia Embroidery "Production, Study, and Tour" experience center in Shiping Village, Henghe Town, a town-level rural revitalization zone.
