China-Europe Youth Discuss Climate Change | Highlights

Chongqing - On February 24, Chongqing International Communication Center and Luhai International Communication Foundation joined hands with universities in China and Europe to hold the round-table dialogue “Urban Youth Join Hands Across Lands and Seas” with the theme of “Youth Responsibilities to Challenges of Climate Change.” Let’s take a look back.

Alex, a foreign reporter from Chongqing International Communication Center, co-hosted the event with hosts from the UK, Germany, and Italy. More than 40 young people, experts, and scholars from Chongqing, London, Dusseldorf and Rome gathered both offline and online to discuss the state of the environment, actions taken, achievements, and future prospects of different nations for about three hours.

The participants agreed that all regions of the world, despite different cultural backgrounds, should work together in dealing with climate change. They emphasized that the youth should contribute their wisdom to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
