Chongqing - The countdown to the eagerly awaited Chengdu 2021 FISU Games saw the exciting launch of the "Blossom of Youth" Exchange Activities at the new Sichuan University Museum on July 26th.

The inaugural ceremony welcomed distinguished personalities, including Xu Liaoyuan, a creative mind behind the 'Rong Huo' torch for the FISU Games, renowned author Alai, and Peng Feng, esteemed Dean of the School of Arts at Peking University. These individuals painted a captivating fusion of sports and culture through their stirring narratives, setting an enthusiastic ambiance for the imminent games.
The event also unveiled eight main activities, featuring enticing programs like the Fresh Appeal of National Treasure Museum Cultural and Creative Exhibition, the 'Thumbs Up for FISU Games' Chinese Bridge Champions Greeting FISU Games, and the 'Memories of FISU Games' Youth Film Project.
An intriguing aspect of the Cultural and Creative Exhibition, hosted at the Sichuan University Museum from July 26th to August 10th, is its collaborative nature. Top-tier museums like the Palace Museum, the National Museum of China, the Sichuan Museum, the Jinsha Site Museum, and the Sanxingdui Museum have all joined hands for this event, promising a compelling blend of sports and culture to engage the youth.
Wu Hongliang, head of the Beijing Fine Art Academy, commended the event saying, "This convergence of sports, culture, and diverse elements makes it incredibly appealing to the youth."

Lyu Hongliang, Dean of the College of History and Culture (Tourism) at Sichuan University, presented six-city tour routes for the FISU delegates, athletes, and media professionals under the Exploring Sichuan initiative. These routes invite everyone to revel in the splendor of Sichuan's stunning landscapes and delve deeper into the essence of Chinese civilization.
Additionally, the "Memories of FISU Games" Youth Film Project is already underway. This collection of 11 short films will showcase the beauty and excitement of the FISU Games, involves young talents from France, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, and several other nations collaborating with students and faculty from Chinese universities, including Sichuan Normal University.
On the evening of July 29th, the much-anticipated "Youth in Time" 31st World University Summer Games Athletes' Gala is set to unfold at the ASEAN Art Centre Theater in the heart of the Chengdu FISU Games Village. Promising a vibrant showcase of Chinese opera, traditional Sichuan Opera, martial arts, rap, dynamic street dance, electronic music, and celebratory events, this gala is all set to be a cultural spectacle.
