Chongqing - The "2023 New Chongqing in the Lens" project has garnered significant support and enthusiastic contributions from the citizens of Chongqing. This project aims to capture and showcase the splendid facets of Chongqing's cityscape and its people. During the summer, the project organizers have decided to provide a unique heat subsidy to the citizens of Chongqing in the form of ice cream bars.
From August 18th to 27th, the event is planned to distribute 50,000 custom-made "I Love Chongqing" ice cream bars to the people of Chongqing.

Residents can get these special free ice cream bars from nearly 80 locations across various districts, including Yuzhong, Jiangbei, Yubei, Jiulongpo, Nan'an, Shapingba, and more. These distribution points include rail train stations, zoos, commercial stores, and other convenient spots.
The launch ceremony for the high-temperature subsidy, a part of the "2023 New Chongqing in the Lens" project, took place at the front square of the New Century Department Store in Jiefangbei on August 18th.

After announcing the event's commencement, Ma Ranxi, Deputy Director-General of the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, handed the first ice cream bar to Ruan Yangyang, one of the "Touching Yuzhong" top ten individuals. Subsequently, event guests distributed 600 ice cream bars to citizens present at the ceremony.

The "2023 New Chongqing in the Lens" project has received an overwhelming number of contributions from the local community since its inception. The New Century Department Store constructed a "Cooling Flash House" in the Chongqing downtown to create a comfortable place for locals to relax. This pop-up site showcased a selection of outstanding works from the project while attendees enjoyed complimentary ice cream. People could cool off while appreciating photography exhibitions and taking a break.

More than 100 photography enthusiasts were specially invited by the organizers, acknowledging their continuous efforts in capturing and promoting Chongqing's essence. Various gifts were thoughtfully prepared for these photographers as a token of appreciation.
Following the launch ceremony, some guests and Chongqing citizens explored the themed post office at Jiefangbei CBD.
Situated on the Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, the "Dongchuan Postal Administration Bureau" showcased the postal culture and offered postal-themed creative products. This establishment has become a popular spot for visitors to capture the beauty of Chongqing.
In the future, the organizers plan to collaborate with the themed post office to turn citizens' visual contributions into creative products, working collectively to promote the splendid image of Chongqing.
