Chongqing - Chongqing's Yongchuan Lehe Ledu Animal Theme Park celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day with a grand feast for its elephants and dolphins, showcasing their unique creativity.
In the African Elephant Pavilion, the caretakers prepared a fruit and vegetable mooncake platter with a diameter of nearly 2 meters and a total weight of about 185 kilograms. What's truly astonishing is that this delectable and enticing giant mooncake was composed of over a dozen fresh fruits and vegetables, including durian, mangosteen, mango, grapes, dragon fruit, pomegranate, apples, bananas, oranges, pumpkins, and carrots.

As soon as the mooncake platter was ready, two adorable female elephants, Aili and Lina, eagerly approached it, picking their favorite fruits and joyfully indulging in the feast. Just when everyone was almost done, the male elephant, John, also joined the festive banquet.
The festive spirit extended to the Dolphin Pavilion as well. The first Chongqing-born dolphin calf, "Le Zaizai," and its mother received warm care from the caretakers.
The caretakers had prepared a meticulously crafted "mooncake" feast for the dolphin mother and calf. They carefully selected dozens of fresh mullet fish and cleverly arranged them into a double-layered round cake, placing it inside a metal gift box weighing about 10 kilograms.

Two caretakers donned diving suits and jointly submerged the gift box underwater to create a more romantic effect. They then fed the fish to the dolphin mother and calf individually, creating a vivid and amusing scene.
This heartwarming celebration at Yongchuan Lehe Ledu Animal Theme Park showcased the dedication of the caretakers in ensuring the well-being and happiness of the animals, making it a memorable and festive experience for both the animals and visitors alike.
