From December 1 to 3, the 2023 CapitaLand Youth Creator "Showcasing to the World" Charity Fair will commence at Raffles City Chongqing.
Miao Cultural Extravaganza: Crafts, Performances, and Local Flavors
Stepping into the atrium of Raffles City Chongqing at Chaotianmen, the audience will find themselves surrounded by the most representative elements of Miao culture, from butterflies to silver jewelry and landscapes. The rich atmosphere embodies the essence of Miao heritage, inviting them to revel in the delights of a traditional fair experience.
The partner Remote Mountain Bazaar has selected over 500 products to provide more options for consumers to buy whatever they want. Among the onsite products available for purchase, there will be popular local specialties from Pengshui that embody the unique features of Miao culture, such as handicrafts, fabrics, and jewelry using ethnic techniques like dyeing, embroidery, weaving, pottery, and rubbings. Aside from these distinct handicrafts, the fair will also offer delectable treats. The Pengshui Culinary Marketplace will feature 66 specialty agricultural products from Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, Chongqing, including Chinese toon sprouts in sauce, pea vermicelli, and Huichangsheng camellia oil. The center works to bring authentic Pengshui cuisine to every household.

In addition to shopping, the audience can watch over 10 Miao ethnic song and dance performances, such as Cai Hua Shan (literally Treading upon the Blossom Hills), while experiencing traditional Miao folk customs and hands-on under the guidance of ethnic handicraft masters. The three-day fair will feature a variety of themed handicraft workshops, which offer experience activities, including rubbings for praying for good luck, wax paintings, Miao ethnic embroidered scarves, handmade flower lanterns, and cloisonné enamel painting. A Dive into Pengshui's culture with VR at CapitaLand's immersive experience
On December 1, the Virtual Museum Experience of Miao Culture, co-developed by CapitaLand Group in partnership with scholars and students from Chongqing University and Minzu University of China, will be launched simultaneously. The virtual museum, rooted in the cultural essence of the Miao ethnic group in Pengshui, Chongqing, has six thematic online galleries, including "Dreamland of Clothes" and "Nine-centered Miao Realm." These virtual halls intricately showcase the Miao people's unique lifestyle, encompassing their attire, cuisine, living traditions, rituals, music, and medicinal practices.

In the fair's interactive area, by wearing VR glasses, visitors can see two virtual figures—Aniu, a young Miao boy, and Ajiao, a young Miao girl. Under their guidance, visitors will enter the museum and conduct an immersive exploration of Pengshui's Miao culture in auditory, visual, and tactile dimensions. Upon completing the onsite VR museum experience, visitors will stand a chance to receive limited edition 3D-printed souvenirs from the virtual museum.
Pengshui Cultural Companionship Boutique blends AI with tradition to support ethnic education in Pengshui
The fair will be committed to promoting Pengshui specialties to the world. At its site, CapitaLand will officially launch the AI-powered Pengshui Cultural Companionship Boutique, where CapitaLand will showcase a series of cultural and creative products featuring Pengshui's local culture in cooperation with Pengshui, Chongqing. The store represents an innovative trial of incorporating the AIGC technology into product design and offline experiences, aiming to promote cultural and creative products with deep affection to the world and enable more consumers to appreciate the blend of technology and tradition.

During the holding of the fair, the second atrium of Raffles City Chongqing in Chaotianmen will feature special architectural design schemes and architectural models designed by young creators in architecture-related majors from Tianjin University, South China University of Technology, Chongqing University, and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. These works are tailored explicitly for the Yushan School in Pengshui, Chongqing, and serve as multifunctional spaces, ethnic cultural inheritance, and skill training.
