This series marks the fourth consecutive time Chongqing has been chosen as the venue for the "Dancing Mountain City" International Street Dance Competition series.

The competition includes five key events in total for this edition, featuring the 2023 Dancing Mountain City International Street Dance Competition, the 2023 CHUC Provincial Alliance Clash, the China Street Dance Ten-Year Industry Development Exchange, the New Era Art for Public Welfare Fifth Anniversary, and the 2023 Emerging Youth Group Exchange.

Additionally, it incorporates the 10th Anniversary Meeting of the China Dance Association Street Dance Committee and CHCU National Street Dance Alliance.

Competitors will showcase their skills in individual contests such as Popping, Locking, Hiphop, and Breaking, as well as group competitions in routine and the 5V5 Provincial Alliance Clash. A total of 24 awards will be presented to outstanding individuals and groups across different dance styles, with cash prizes ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 yuan.

The event's spotlight remains the "CHUC Provincial Alliance Clash," where the champions earn a grand prize of 10,000 yuan and can participate in a showdown featuring the "strongest dancers" from 32 provincial alliances, forming provincial representative teams.

"In the routine competition, we will continue to encourage the fusion of Chinese traditional culture, ethnic styles, and regional characteristics, using the language of world dance art to tell Chinese stories and express contemporary emotions," said Xia Rui, deputy director and secretary-general of the China Hip-Hop Union Committee.

The competition has invited international dance luminaries such as hip-hop culture giants Henry Link and the esteemed Mr. Wiggles, alongside top domestic dancers like Han Yu, Xiao Jie, and Yang Kai, to form the panel of judges.

"We hope that through this event, we can further mobilize the strength of the youth, contributing to the construction of a culturally strong city," said Zhong Qianyuan, member of the Party Committee and second-level inspector of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development.

"Events like the Street Dance Trend Market will also collaborate with fashion, culture and tourism, and fast-moving consumer goods, attracting public consumption and creating a 'street dance+' business model," said Zhong.
