Macao Music and Dance Delegation Deepens Cultural Exchange in Chongqing

Chongqing - From December 16th to 20th, a delegation from the music and dance community in Macao, led by Zhou You, the president of the Central Conservatory of Music Macao Alumni Association, and advised by Yin Rutao, Deputy Director of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, visited Chongqing for communication and exchange.

During the exchange, Zhang Yaqian, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, highlighted Chongqing's rich history, unique landscape, and cultural vitality. Through this exchange, she aims to foster cultural bridges and cooperation between Chongqing and Macao. 

Yin emphasized the cultural and artistic collaboration between Chongqing and Macao. The Liaison Office will support more exchange activities for mutual growth in these industries. 

Zhou praised the fruitful exchange and the delegation's better understanding of Chongqing's development. The Macao music and dance community aims to promote Chongqing, encourage more Macao residents to visit and experience the city and create a cultural exchange platform for mutual development.

The delegation's itinerary focused on patriotic education, professional exchange, and cooperation expansion. They visited significant sites such as the Red Rock Revolution Memorial Museum, Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery, Zhazidong (Cinder Cave), and Baigongguan (Bai Mansion, a former villa of warlord Bai Ju built in the 1930s).

The delegation also watched the performance "Chongqing·1949." During the visit, they visited several of Chongqing's landmarks of culture and tourism, like Chongqing Sichuan Opera Theatre, Chongqing Performing Arts Group, etc., engaging in in-depth discussions and exchanges on culture, artistic innovation, and arts education.
