CAERI Clinches Gold Award for Auto Industry at Geneva Inventions Exhibition

Chongqing - CAERI Co., Ltd.'s Intelligent Connected Technology (ICTC), a subsidiary of the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute (CAERI), was recently honored at the 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in Switzerland for its groundbreaking advancements in intelligent driving, active safety, and electromagnetic safety.

The project "Scenario-Testing-Evaluation Integrated Toolchain for Autonomous Driving," or i-SIM, received a gold award, acknowledged by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for its exceptional and cutting-edge technology.

Zhou Xiaoji, R&D Director of the intelligent vehicle test toolchain at CAERI ICTC, remarked in an interview with Bridging News, "The i-SIM may set a new industry standard, enhancing the global perception of Chinese automobiles."

The i-SIM integrates various technologies into a comprehensive testing platform featuring a wide-ranging scenario database, high-fidelity testing tools, and an exhaustive evaluation system.

Zhou observed that challenges and research interruptions are anticipated and usually addressed through two approaches.

Within the R&D center, specific technical plans are developed to address vulnerabilities, with team members collaborating on solutions and conducting pilot tests.

Externally, partnerships facilitate innovation and the discovery of new solutions across various disciplines, including hardware, software, testing, and communication, when expertise from other fields is needed.

This acknowledgment from WIPO has strengthened China's automotive industry's competitive advantage and brand reputation, contributing to its sustainable growth.

Zhou attributes these successes to extensive industrial experience and independent toolchain development, which have nurtured new quality productive forces and boosted global consumer confidence in Chinese automobiles.

"The Geneva Gold Award is profoundly significant. It underscores CAERI's exceptional innovation capabilities and positions China's auto industry as a leader in simulation evaluation toolchains," Zhou explained.

The Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions stands as one of the world's oldest and most esteemed invention showcases. Zhou anticipates significant implications for CAERI from this award. The team remains committed to fostering innovation and advancing technologies to elevate the automotive industry further.
