Chongqing Cultural Travel Shinning at Travel Expo in Hong Kong

Chongqing - From June 13 to 16, the 38th Hong Kong International Travel Exhibition (Leisure) was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 300 people attended the opening ceremony, including tourism authorities, diplomatic delegations, media, exhibitors, and industry visitors. 

The Chongqing Cultural and Tourism Delegation visited Hong Kong to participate in this exhibition. This is the third time this year that the Chongqing Cultural and Tourism Delegation went to Hong Kong to promote cultural tourism, exchange, and cooperation.

This year's Hong Kong exhibition gathered about 500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions, 20 more than in previous years, to fully showcase the tourism resources and characteristics of the exhibitors for the industry and the public.

Hong Kong and Chongqing are either's important inbound tourism source markets, and the cooperation potential is huge. During this visit, the Chongqing Cultural and Tourism Delegation made full use of this international exchange and cooperation platform and carefully organized inbound tourism promotion. It focused on enhancing the international visibility and reputation of Chongqing's tourism brand image. The Committee on Culture and Tourism of Wulong District, Changshou District and Chongqing Acrobatic Art Troupe, and other cultural tourism enterprise representatives participated in this exhibition.

During the exhibition, Chongqing showed the overall image of Chongqing cultural tourism through video, Chinese and English tourism maps, folding pages, atlas, and other graphic materials. Wulong District and Changshou District, through the form of theme promotion and interactive lottery, respectively focused on Fairy Mountain, Tiankeng Three Bridges Site, Furong River, Changshou Lake, Bodhi Ancient Town, and other major tourist attractions and cultural intangible heritage products, vividly demonstrating Chongqing's characteristic cultural tourism resources and boutique tourism routes. Chongqing Acrobatic Art Troupe fully showed the acrobatic art and the passion of Chongqing people through the on-site display and the issuance of VIP tickets. 

The Chongqing booth was welcomed by the audience and was awarded the "most popular audience booth" by the organizing committee. Chongqing's participation in the exhibition has further deepened the Hong Kong public's understanding and recognition of Chongqing's cultural tourism and brought new cooperation opportunities to develop bilateral inbound tourism.
