Chongqing - China introduced several policies to facilitate foreign nationals' entry this year. In the first half, 14.635 million foreign entries were recorded, a 152.7% year-on-year increase. Of these, 8.542 million entered visa-free, representing 52% of the total and a 190.1% year-on-year increase, according to the latest data from the State Council, China's cabinet.
Chongqing's inbound tourism market is thriving. Jiangbei International Airport connects 23 countries and regions through 28 international passenger routes, leading to a steady increase in travelers.

With increased foreign tourists, Chongqing's duty-free economy has significantly boosted new consumption. Enhanced duty-free policies and streamlined customs procedures have further facilitated this growth, making Chongqing a key hub for duty-free shopping in western China.
