Chongqing - On the evening of September 12, the Mid-Autumn Festival Tea Reception for Foreign Consulates-General in Chongqing took place at Chongqing's two-river cruise. Diplomats from the consulates of Italy, the UK, Belarus, Uruguay, Myanmar, Hungary, Cambodia, the Philippines, Japan, and Canada, along with representatives from various foreign chambers of commerce and trade organizations, gathered to celebrate the occasion.

In the serene autumn atmosphere on the river, with the bright moon illuminating the night, Chinese and foreign guests gathered to enjoy a cultural feast, deepen their friendships, and discuss a shared future.
The event began with a speech by Yang Guangshun, Director of the Chongqing International Cultural Exchange Center. Reflecting on the past year's fruitful collaborations, he expressed hopes that the parties would continue to work closely together. "May the friendship between China and the world be as pure and everlasting as the Mid-Autumn moon," he said.
Ivan Frank Olea, Consul General of the Philippine Consulate in Chongqing, said, "This is my first time on the boat cruise. It's a very beautiful place with the two rivers intersecting. I heard that only half the lights are on, so imagine how stunning it would be with all the lights on." He concluded by wishing the people of Chongqing a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
Xu Qiusheng, Executive Vice President of Wuyishan Xiangjiang Tea Industry Co Ltd, highlighted the cultural significance of tea as a symbol of friendship and world peace. He pledged to promote Chinese tea and tea culture internationally, showcasing the elegance of Eastern traditions.
To offer the guests a deeper understanding of Chongqing, Li Zhenzhen, Secretary of the Yuzhong District Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, led a presentation showcasing the unique scenery of Yuzhong District. Young cultural ambassadors from the Chongqing Window of International Culture and Tourism also presented in English, sharing Chongqing's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

Guests were treated to a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where tea masters dressed in Hanfu demonstrated the ancient art of tea brewing. The mesmerizing aromas and intricate rituals captivated the audience, offering an immersive experience of China's tea culture.
Additionally, Chongqing College of Humanities, Science, and Technology musicians performed traditional Chinese music with instruments like the drum, pipa, and guzheng, bringing classics such as Moonlit Night on the Spring River to life. The lively and graceful harmonious melodies provided guests with an unforgettable auditory experience.

With the theme of "reunion," this event used tea, music, and moon-viewing to facilitate cultural, tourism, and artistic exchanges between Chongqing and the foreign consulates in attendance.
