Chongqing - Known as the "Motorcycle Capital of the World," Chongqing becomes a motorcycling paradise every September. From September 13 to 16, 2024, the 22nd China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor) officially launched at the Chongqing International Expo Center, showcasing the entire motorcycle industry chain. Riders worldwide have gathered to share their passion, turning the city into a haven for motorcycle enthusiasts.
This year's expo focuses on trends in electrification, smart technology, and connectivity. It spans a massive 160,000 square meters and features cutting-edge innovations from over 877 exhibitors, including more than 70 global motorcycle and electric vehicle brands.
The expo offers over 3,000 vehicles on dynamic and static display, with exhibitors from the US, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, the UK, Spain, South Korea, and beyond.
To welcome riders from all corners of the globe, the city lit up its iconic "urban screens" at Jiangbeizui on the eve of the event, flashing the message: "Motorcycle Capital Welcomes Riders Home!"
On the first day, a total of 23 brand press conferences unveiled nearly 50 new models. The spotlight was on a variety of new offerings, including high-displacement automatic fuel bikes, stylish electric two-wheelers, and personalized small-displacement and electric off-road motorcycles.
Standout moments included Honda's release of its CBR650R and CB650R models, equipped with the Honda E-Clutch system and priced at 82,800 yuan (about USD 11,672) and 76,800 yuan (about USD 10,826), respectively. British brand Royal Alloy made its China debut with the retro GP300 TBS, while Zongshen showcased the highly anticipated CUBE automatic, the RC600 and RA600 models, along with the innovative RC401 E-Clutch.
Beyond the indoor pavilions, outdoor activities thrilled visitors. Popular events like the "C-Turn Show," the National Riders Rally, and CIMA Riders' Night kicked off in full swing.

Test ride areas allowed enthusiasts to experience the latest models firsthand while skilled riders showcased their techniques in head-to-head challenges. A parade of 500 riders displayed the spirit of safe, civilized riding, and actor Wu Lei joined the festivities, energizing the crowd at CIMA Riders' Night.
Visitors could also enjoy CIMA Town and grab exclusive souvenirs from the CIMA Motor cultural store, making the 2024 expo an unforgettable celebration of motorcycle culture.
