The rapeseed flowers have become a powerful engine for rural prosperity. According to Tongnan government statistics, the district's integrated "rapeseed + tourism" model now generates over 500 million yuan in annual revenue. Local farmers have expanded their offerings to include 12 specialty product lines, with rapeseed oil soaps and flower pollen health supplements gaining particular popularity. During peak season, the economic transformation is unmistakable—family-run guesthouses in Chongkan Town operate at full capacity, while restaurants showcase dishes prepared with the district's signature rapeseed oil. For many farming families, this period now accounts for a substantial portion of their yearly income.
