The Successful Kick-off of Chongqing Education ‘Into Spain’ Exhibition Tour in Madrid

On the morning of May 5 (local time), the Launching Ceremony for Chongqing Education "Into Spain" Exhibition Tour was grandly held in Espacio Ronda, Madrid. 

Guided by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, led by Chongqing University of Education (CQUE), and organized by CQUE's Panda Institute in Spain, this event aims to promote the educational and cultural exchanges between China and Spain, showcase the characteristics and achievements of Chongqing's education, and build a brand of "Study in Chongqing." 

On the morning of May 5 (local time), the Launching Ceremony for Chongqing Education "Into Spain" Exhibition Tour was grandly held in Espacio Ronda, Madrid.

Representatives from the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Spain and the Education Bureau of the Community of Madrid attended the event, as well as delegations from nine universities, including Southwest University, Chongqing Jiaotong University, Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College, and Chongqing City Management College, as well as Spanish educators and guests from all walks of life.

The exhibition tour commenced with the promotional video of "Study in Chongqing." María Cabrera, a representative of the Education Bureau of the Community of Madrid, underscored in her speech that educational cooperation should constitute an important part of the amicable relations between China and Spain. She highly praised Chongqing for building an "inland open education highland" and the significance of this educational exhibition tour, expressing her anticipation for future collaborations between both sides in more areas. 

María Cabrera, a representative of the Education Bureau of the Community of Madrid, gave a speech at the event.

Victor Cortizo, President of the Asociación Hispánica de Estudios de China (AHEC) and Dean of the International Relations Department at Francisco de Vitoria University, emphasized in his speech that language and culture could serve as bridges connecting the two peoples. He hoped such activities would further promote cultural exchanges and academic cooperation between China and Spain.

Huang Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing University of Education, introduced Chongqing's education under the theme "The City of Education Connecting China and Spain." She warmly invited Spanish youth to explore academic opportunities in the picturesque Chongqing and jointly write a new chapter of cross-civilization dialogue. As an educational hub in western China, Chongqing boasts 77 universities and a complete education system covering emerging fields. It has established educational cooperation with over 60 countries worldwide, building an international platform by supporting 64 Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and offering full English courses and Spanish majors. 

Meanwhile, with diverse support systems such as the "Mayor's Scholarship" and "Silk Road Program," it can provide Spanish students with excellent education, cultural experience, and convenient services. Huang invited global youth to explore academic opportunities and jointly write a new chapter of cross-civilization dialogue in Chongqing, a city where mountains and rivers meet.

María and Gonzálo, representatives of international students, shared their study experiences in Chongqing, China. They expressed their deep attachment to Chongqing and their desire to study there again.

Next, the exhibition tour will be carried out in three more Spanish cities—Caceres, Seville, and Barcelona—in an effort to promote Chongqing's education in Spain further and continuously deepen Sino-Spanish educational cooperation and exchanges.
