Elevating Liangping's aviation profile
Local officials emphasized the event's role in advancing the region's development goals. "This aerial ballet above our city represents another step forward in Liangping's evolution as an aviation sports destination," said Cao Ling, the district's publicity chief.
The championship served as both a competitive platform and a showcase for Liangping's growing infrastructure. The century-old airport demonstrated its capability to host national-level events, while ground activities, such as drone soccer matches and glider demonstrations, gave visitors hands-on experience with aviation technology.

Cultural finale
The closing ceremonies featured a stunning aerial display that blended sport with cultural heritage. Seven female skydivers, including world champions Zhao Tiantian and Lou Yu, descended from 1,400 meters in traditional costumes for a "Seven Fairies" performance that brought together modern sport and Chinese mythology.
With the championships' successful conclusion, Liangping looks to build on this momentum as it continues to develop its aviation sports ecosystem and position itself as a leading destination for China's growing low-altitude economy.
