In this year’s Chongqing Government Work Report, the goal of building a "Capital of Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles" was once again prioritized, highlighting the vital importance of supply chain support. To make this grand blueprint more tangible, we invited international commentators to visit CHANGAN and Sanfeng Environment. They were stunned by CHANGAN's diverse and affordable NEV lineup and were deeply impressed by the green closed-loop technology of Sanfeng's waste-to-energy power plants. Guo Xiangying: A Lifetime of Protecting Cultural Heritage
In Dazu, Chongqing, an 87-year-old man has dedicated half a century to revitalizing the thousand-year-old art of rock carving. His name is Guo Xiangying, the founding director of the Dazu Rock Carvings Museum and a recipient of the "Top Ten Most Inspirational Figures of Chongqing" award for 2025. Since 1974, he has spent half his life guarding the carvings in a harsh environment without water or electricity. He spent three years hand-drawing three scrolls totaling 23.1 meters in length, which capture over 10,000 individual statues. It was this very scroll that served as "pivotal evidence" to convince international judges of the immense artistic value of the Dazu Rock Carvings during the 1999 UNESCO World Heritage conference in Morocco. In this episode of Faces of Chongqing, let’s dive into the story of this "Guardian of the Mountain."
