“Smart Technology: Empowering Economy, Enriching Life” is not only a theme for the first Smart China Expo (SCE) in Chongqing, China, but also a summary of current Chongqing municipality. Intelligent Jiangbei project represents an endeavor to give a full play of smart technology in governance, civil affairs and business.
Located in downtown Chongqing, Jiangbei District enjoys rapid economic development and achieves in transforming and upgrading of traditional industries through Intelligent Jiangbei project. In order to figure out more, iChongqing, the platform of Chongqing International Media Center, invited Zhang Yong, Director of Economic and Information Commission of Jiangbei District, Chongqing Municipality, and Director-General of Chongqing Jiangbei Intelligent Industry Bureau.
Chongqing has proposed innovation-driven strategy led by big data intelligence. In this context, Jiangbei District takes smart tech as a breakthrough point, has formed the Intelligent Industry Leading Group, and set up Intelligence Office and the bureau with a main responsibility of developing intelligent industry. It aims to promote the transformation and upgrade of industries in Jiangbei, make them intelligent and bring convenience to people’s lives.
Moreover, Mr. Zhang talked about Jiangbei’s foreign investment attraction and talents program. As for its intelligent industry, Jiangbei has laid out 8 main industries, including cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and intelligent connected vehicles.
