Visitors attracted by the exhibition of Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing at the 2017 Chongqing Cultural Industry Expo

2018 Chongqing (International) Cultural Industry Expo will be held from September 7 to 9 at Chongqing International Expo Center. This cultural feast is organized by Chongqing Daily News Group in collaboration with other institutions, and themed on “Communication, Trade, and Integration”.

According to the organizing committee of the expo, there are more than 1000 exhibitors showing up at this event. The participants include province-level exhibitors of China, foreign consulates in Chongqing or Chengdu, and other countries.

The exhibition area for this year is about 60,000 square meters, and there are 5 thematic pavilions.

Pavilion N1: Cultural Achievements of Chongqing

Paper-made landmarks of Chongqing city

In this area, there will be exhibits of the local culture of Chongqing, including the intangible cultural heritage. Here the visitors can take a close look at the cultural industry of this city.

Pavilion N2: International Elements

Consulates of Japan, Hungary, Ethiopia, Italy and Australia have confirmed the attendance. At the expo, the visitors will be able to experience the Japanese taiko drums, Hungarian wine, fine Ethiopian coffee, etc.

Countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nigeria will also appear at the expo, bringing the most exotic and unique cultural and art products from their own country. For instance, the handmade embroidery, cashmere shawl and rug, jewelry, wood carving, natural gem, and spice.

Pavilion N3: Art and Craft

Here the visitors will be amazed by the masterpieces of artists and craftsmen. Chinese traditional handcrafted products, Chinese calligraphy and painting, and photography will be the topics of this pavilion.

Pavilion N4: Customs of Dating and Marriage

As a new section of this edition of Cultural Industry Expo, at Pavilion N4 the visitors will be able to enjoy the customs of traditional Chinese wedding, Western wedding, contemporary wedding, and classical wedding.

Pavilion N5: Home and Furniture

At this area, the visitors will have the chance to take a glimpse at the modern housing decoration, intelligent home, classical furniture and decoration, history and evolution of furniture making, etc.
