The passengers of CRT may find the surprising new look. The train has its new outfit with painting of the Grand Theater, the Yangtze River Cableway and other landmarks in Chongqing. According to CRT Group, the new "outfit" of train line 2 and line 3 has updated, the new painting of train has theme of Chongqing cultural features and landmarks.

Train’s New Look: A Moving Scene

Line 2 and line 3 are close to the river, the new look of train brings significant view especially when it is moving. Grand Theater, Qiansimen Bridge, Yangtze River Cableway are the landmark painting on trains. CRT Group has collected 32 creative portfolios in order to fully showcase Chongqing’s beautiful scenery; the portfolios aim to represent natural scenes, folk culture, and unique beauty of the mountain city. Until today, there are 6 themes under the slogan Chongqing: Journey to New Accomplishments. The six themes are Dynamic Train, Homesick, Treasure of Chongqing, Transportation, Chongqing Localism, and Impression of Chongqing.  

 Cultural Features Are On the Trains

Under the theme of Dynamic Train, Grand Theater and Qiansimen Bridge are showing in mosaic aesthetic effects. Homesick train has represented Three Gorges, Kuimen, stilted building, mountain and river to indicated the historical background of the megacity. Treasure of Chongqing is a theme about cultural heritage including Work Songs along Sichuan rivers, clothes and fan from Rongchang County, Fuling pickle, Hechuan Taopian, and so on. Chongqing localism refers to the local language of Chongqing, it is a unique feature that reflected Chongqing’s folk culture. Impression of Chongqing is a mainly showcase of attractions in Chongqing, spots like Mount Jinfo, Hongyadong, interchange bridges are under this theme.
