Concert of world great rivers in Yangtze River will kick off on November 8 in Wanzhou District, Chongqing. The event, hosts being the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and the Hubei Provincial People's Government, has received worldwide attention and popularity.

The concert will illuminate the 9th China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival on the occasion. It will start at 19:30, and last for 90 minutes. The event will give the show both on the cruise as well as the stage at the Civic Square. It regards the city as the background, interacting with shows on decks of cruises.

The Concert Highlights the Stage

The event will be illuminated by performances of things about the large rivers’ best music. It is the connection of large rivers from the world, the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Focusing on the Three Gorges, the event will present the gorgeous nature, culture as well as humanities. Therefore, the event will show the world “a land of natural beauty” and “a city with cultural appeal”.

Till now, there are 5 overseas performance teams, 4 domestic performance teams, and 3 individual artists—Famous Chinese operatic tenor Dai Yuqiang, Chinese singer Lv Wei and Italian famed musician Al Bano Carrisi, receive the invitation. All teams and artists will arrive in Chongqing on November 6 and prepare for the performance.

There are 3 episodes of the World Singing Contest in Yangtze River –spirit, charm, and dream. In addition, there are different performing forms in the event, including chorus, dance, symphony and so forth. Chinese choirs and artists as well as those from countries of five continents, including Ireland, Russia, the United States, etc., will give a perfect show to audiences. Moreover, the performance list will engage Yellow River Cantata, Song of the Volga Boatman, Katyusha, Mo Li Hua and so on. Furthermore, the event invites ANÚNA (known as An Uaithne, the Irish choral ensemble) to give a show of tap dance.

The singing concert will be aired on Chongqing TV channel from 21:30 on November 8, 2018, local time.
