Demonstrated from Chongqing Daily on 5 Nov. in 1^ST China International Import Expo (abbreviated as CIIE), a Promotion Forum on Chongqing as the pioneer of Opening-up Hinterland China was held.

22 key projects signing in the promotion forum

The participating companies would further promote the construction of Chongqing as the pioneer of opening-up, share the investment opportunities, and deepen international economic and trade cooperation. Tang Liangzhi, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, attended the promotion forum and witnessed the signing of key projects. Vice Mayor Liu Guiping attended the event.

There are 22 key projects signing in the promotion forum. The signing companies come from France, Italy, German, Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and other countries, as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong and other regions. The signing projects involve in smart technology, vehicle manufactory, electronic products, medicine, logistics, food industry, tourism services, medical services, cultural industry, travel development, and other fields.

Chongqing is the pioneer of opening-up hinterland in China

In the forum, it introduce to the world about Chongqing as the pioneer of opening-up hinterland in China. In recent years, Chongqing is deeply integrated into national initiative, continuously expanding open channels, upgrading open platforms, optimizing open environment and speeding up the construction of open highland. Qualcomm, BOSCH, LEGO, CRMICRO, and other enterprises’ representatives have attended the forum.

Liangjiang New Area signed for 4.69 billion Yuan

Liangjiang New Area’s Bonded Port Area has signed the contracts with firms from different countries for an overall amount of 4.69 billion Yuan. Bonded Port Area is an important opening-up platform of Liangjiang New Area and Chongqing. In terms of the Bonded Port Area’s person in charge, there is a corporation contract for 1.5 billion Yuan signed with Chongqing Yibao Smart Technology Inc. (abbreviated as Yibao Inc.) that invested by Compal Electronics, a giant enterprise from Taiwan. After the agreement signed, Yibao Inc. will set up 310,000 square meters of manufactory chains, storage, and facilities to achieve over ten million intelligent terminal production capacities.

In the meanwhile, Bonded Port Area also signed up the agreement with Yupei International Holdings for Investment Framework Agreement. According to the agreement, it will build a 200-mu regional integrated operation platform and cold chain industrial park. Besides, Bonded Port Area signed contracts with Compal Electronics and Trafigura for 1.59 billion Yuan and 1 billion Yuan contracts respectively.  

The person in charge suggested that Liangjiang New Area highly valued the 1^st CIIE. Therefore, it organized about 100 firms involved with aviation, technology, logistics, and etc. to attend the expo. The 1^st CIIE has gathered countries and giant firms’ attendances. It is a good opportunity to know both Chongqing and Liangjiang New Area.
