“Big Chongqing” should be more attractive to ASEAN tourists as an international travel destination. Li Liangyi, the chairman of Singapore Huading (Group) Pte. Ltd. shared his opinion on the marketing strategy of Chongqing tourism with iChongqing, on 14th Nov.2018, in the Chongqing Global Travel Agents Conference.
"I visited Chongqing more than 100 times in past 20 years," Mr.Li said. As a frequent visitor, he values the colorful and gorgeous culture in Chongqing. "The traditional customs, long history attract the tourists a lot." he said.
These cultural tourism resources are irreplaceable among hinterland areas in China. Therefore, Chongqing should take advantages of promoting tourism of the city to the world. Mr. Li said that Huading is willing to help. As one of the ASEAN countries, Singapore developed a close friendship with Chongqing.
Furthermore, Chongqing has a unique tourist route – the Yangtze River Cruise. The tour starts at Chongqing mostly, visiting the Three Gorges on boat. Thus brings hongqing lots of international tourists, starting their view on the Three Gorges from the city.
To promote Chongqing to ASEAN countries, there is a “One Belt One Road” alliance of cultural tourism. Thus, Huading regards culture as the carrier of the tourist industry. Chongqing has history and distinct Bashu culture more than mountains. Accordingly, Chongqing impresses overseas Chinese a lot. Culture is a significant part of the in-depth travel or travel like the local. Huading devotes to develop in-depth travel, which treats culture as the carrier, core, or spirit of in-depth travel.
Recently, Huading regards Chongqqing as the connection between the two cities. For those first visiting in China, most prefer Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou etc. With the development of Chongqing, there are more consummate facilities and convenient transportation in the city,“we would like to bring more travelers to Chongqing, as the destination.” said Li Liangyi.
The Chongqing Global Travel Agents Conference kicked off on November 14 morning. 400 travel agents from more than 20 countries and regions participated in the conference. In addition, they had a deep travel in Chongqing to prepare for the conference.
