Although it's colder now that winter has arrived, a yoga guru aged over 60 in Nanbin Road, Chongqing is still practicing challenging yoga poses on the river. Each of his practice sessions will attract numerous onlookers, some of whom even want to be his apprentice.

This expert is Wang Wanming, 61 years old, and he is a member of Chongqing Naval Harbor Winter Swimming Association. Despite his age of over 60, he is no less flexible than young people when it comes to yoga.
He is preparing for yoga on the river
After about 15 minutes of warm-up, Wan Wanming asked his teammates for help moving out one long table and a square one. Then they smoothly stitched the tables six to seven meters away from the shore and laid the yoga mat on it. Wiping the water off his feet with a dry towel, he began his wonderful performance.

Wang Wanming presented various difficult poses in an easy way, such as bird poses, turtle poses and Zen lotus crane poses. With even breath throughout the whole period, he looks very calm. His teammate—62-year-old Chen Qixiong said, “It is a piece of cake for him to complete the actions like splits, headstand and back bend. But it is an impossible challenge for us. Now he is the pride of our association.”

“Except for rain or delays during a whole year, I have been going to the riverside four or five days a week for eight years.” Wang Wanming said after two-hour training.
