In the past two days, the lowest temperature in Chongqing fell to single digits. Don’t you feel the freezing chill? In fact, as the cold air arrives, there are many cool new ways for recreation in winter.
From December of this year to January of next year, the “First Ice and Snow Sports Season Series” will be held in Chongqing. The first indoor skiing open championship began on November 18 at the Jihua Park in Liangjiang New Area. It is the pioneer event of the Ice and Snow Sports Season. The competition attracted more than 100 skiers from the ski clubs in southwest regions such as Chongqing and Sichuan. In addition, they gave a performance “The Fast and the Furious” in the snow. Besides, there are many activities to experience during the Ice and Snow Sports Season.

The launching ceremony of the first Ice and Snow Sports Season will kick off in the Four Seasons Ski Resort Park at Nantian Lake in Fengdu County. Moreover, the event will give fantastic shows about ice and snow sports at the scene. Shows contain the adult double-plate fancy ski on advanced slopes, sprinkling colored smoke on the pole, and so on.
After the opening ceremony, there will be a series of activities waiting for you during the first Ice and Snow Sports Season.
The on-ice living theatre Snow White will be presented at the World Ice Arena in the Mixc.
A snow marathon will be held at the Nantian Lake Four Seasons Ski Resort in Fengdu County
The first Ice and Snow Fun Sports Meeting will be held in Fengjie County.
The New Year’s Day on-ice graffiti event will be held at the Aegean Ouyue Skating Rink.
The 2019 Happy Ice and Snow Festival Cross-Country Ski Invitational Tournament of Shizhu County will kick off at the International Ski Resort in Lengshui Town, Shizhu County.
