14 Key Projects Signed in The 10th Chongqing-Taiwan Week

On November 29, cross-strait exchange base license and project signing ceremony kicked off at the 10th “Chongqing · Taiwan Week”. The event achieved 14 key projects on cross-strait economic and trade cooperation with RMB 5.575 billion of total investment. These projects mainly involved in the financial industry, intelligent manufacturing, modern service industry, and international trade.

Cooperation between Chongqing and Taiwan

Since 2009, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC approved and set up 50-plus “cross-Strait exchange bases” in partial provinces and cities. Meanwhile, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC licensed Chongqing Pengshui Chiyou Jiuli City on October 29. In the meantime, it is one of the national cross-Strait exchange bases. In addition, Chongqing also successfully declared another two national-cross-strait exchange bases, except Chiyou Jiuli City. The exchange bases including Chongqing Historic Sites Museum of the War of Resistance against Japan and “Cross-Strait Cultural Exchange Base” – Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum.

It mainly involves several industries and fields including financial industry, intelligent manufacturing, modern service industry, and international trade. The success in signing the projects plays a significant role in the construction of opening highland in Chongqing inland. Additionally, it helps continuously promote economic and trade exchanges. Meanwhile, it also drives the cooperation between Chongqing and Taiwan in a broader field, larger scale, and higher level.

The forum gathered together over 200 cross-Strait experts, scholars, representative entrepreneurs and industrialists participated in the event. They discussed the innovative practice of industrial internet development to strive for new opportunities for cross-Strait cooperation and development.
