According to the principal of Chongqing Environmental Protection Bureau, Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and the People’s Government attach great importance to air pollution and prevention work. Meanwhile, they issued the Implementation Plan on Implementing the State Council’s Three-Year Action Plan for Fighting for the Blue Sky in Chongqing. It distributes the air pollution and prevention task to 38 county-level governments and 17 municipal-level departments or relevant units. Moreover, it considers the “Four Control, Two Increase” measures as the prevention of air pollution.

Except for increased control in all industries, Chongqing also establishes an information management platform for air pollution and prevention. It comprehensively integrates and collects basic data of air pollution. Furthermore, it scientifically supports the fight for the blue sky through informatization and big data. Besides, an accumulative total of 29,547 pieces of information of all kinds have been accumulated. Meanwhile, Chongqing strengthens air quality forecast and completes phase II construction of air quality forecast and warning platform. It also carries out 7-day regional air quality forecast in four areas of the main city, western Chongqing, northeast Chongqing, and southeast Chongqing. Additionally, it guides relevant management depart to make timely responses to air pollution warnings, with forecast accuracy exceeding 80%.
