Themed with “celebrating the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up”, it first displayed a total of 100 pieces of excellent printmaking and traditional Chinese paintings. By report, this exhibition, with free admission, will last to January 18, 2019.

Bijin Art Museum is a three-story building covered with brown walls and dark tiles, echoing the overall architectural style of Bijin Park. According to introduction, covering an area of 1,581.96 square meters, this museum has set up 10 functional rooms, such as the exhibition hall, the fixed show room, the studio, the collection room and the training room. It provides services in art exhibition, cultural exchange and commonweal lectures - and it is free to the public.

As the principal has introduced, during the first exhibition, there are 100 pieces of works on show, including parts of the works of judges and award-winning/selected works of the “21st National Printmaking Exhibition”, as well as 30 pieces of Chinese paintings from outstanding artists in Chongqing.
Other exhibits cover the works of masters in China and respectable artists in Sichuan and Chongqing, including Ma Zhensheng, A Ge, Zhu Xuanxian, Xiao Jianchu and Yang Hongkun, and the paintings and calligraphy from well-known artists in Southwest China such as Du Xianqing, Bai Cheng, Zhang Chunxin, Chen Hang and Lei Jiutai. This show is a true reflection of artists’ continuous exploration in creation since the reform and opening-up, as well as people’s unremitting efforts for a better life. The public can enjoy the free exhibition till January 18, 2019.
