On December 28, Chongqing Airlines opened a new route from Chongqing to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Before that, Chongqing Airlines has opened five international routes to Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has ushered in its 82nd international line. Furthermore, Chongqing Airlines plans to open routes to Japan and South Korea, aiming at expanding its network of international lines.
It usually took tourists for more than 10 hours to transfer at other airports in the past. So this route can help to save their time. Meanwhile, it will also further enhance the social, economic and cultural exchanges between Chongqing and Sri Lanka.
Chongqing Airlines will use the brand new Airbus A320neo. It has 166 seats, including 4 in first class, 24 in premium economy and 138 in economy. All of the seats widen to 18 inches. Each is equipped with a high-power USB charging port, and a 1080P HD overhead TV for entertainment, offering passengers a more high-end comfortable experience.
At the initial stage, Chongqing Airlines will launch special offers, with a minimum round-trip ticket of RMB 800 (tax excluded). Passengers can visit www.csair.com for booking.
