"River" is one keyword that cannot be missed to describe Chongqing in Southwest China, as the city is at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Jiangling River. In that sense, Two-River Cruise represents a good choice to enjoy the city landscape and its amazing night view.

But before you buy tickets for the cruise, remember to take your identity certificates. Why? Because of the introduction of the real-name system.

From January 1 this year, the Two-River Cruise in downtown Chongqing has launched the real-name system. For any way of purchasing tickets, tourists need to provide valid identity documents.

Here are three ways to buy tickets: first, ticket vending machines. Payment means, including WeChat and Alipay, are available; Second, follow Chongqing cruise center official WeChat account CQHYJYS; Third,  mainstream travel websites of Online Travel Agency, including Tuniu, Ctrip and Qunar.

 Tourists need authentication when buying tickets. Staff will also remind to verify tickets and ID cards. Only being identified can tourists get on board.

The Two-River Cruise commenced the trial operation of the real-name system on November 1 last year. Since then, those who want to board the cruise have to be authenticated.

Online and telephone booking are also open to the public. Following the official WeChat account, tourists can book the tickets. But they still have to provide ID information when purchasing tickets.

According to the Chongqing Municipal Transportation Bureau, implementing the real-name system is a key measure to strengthen waterway safety of passengers and protect their interests. It is also an effective means to promote the comprehensive management of the market order of Two-River Cruise.

Based on the rules of relevant documents, the cruise operators shall require ticket purchasers to provide their valid identification documents. For those booking online or via telephone, they shall provide ID information as well.
