Chongqing - As planned, Chongqing is going to build the Chongqing Three Gorges National Meteorological Park. Here is a first look at the spots along this meteorological park.

Agricultural and Meteorological Technology Expo Park, Jiangjin District

It is composed of “one lake, two islands, five areas, and 16 scenic spots”. Meanwhile, the layout has taken shape.

For instance, the five areas include Scientific Experimental Area, Leisure Experience Area, Planting Demonstration Area, Peaches & Plums Garden Area, and Citrus Garden Area. Furthermore, “16 scenic spots” come from the sights of 16 Chinese poems.

There are the integration and collision between weather and astronomical phenomena, geographical features, history, as well as culture. Then this blending-style impact transforms into a driving force to build the meteorological park.

Karst Landforms of Tiankeng Village, Wulong District

Early last year, Chongqing Meteorological Administration proposed establishing the meteorological park. Themed with “Magnificent Yangtze River, Picturesque Three Gorges”, the park strives to highlight Chongqing’s unique splendid scenes and historical culture. Besides, it aims to reproduce the beauty of the river and green hills on its sides and revitalize the time-honored culture.

Clouds and Red Leaves, Wushan Mountain

The Yangtze River, the Jialing River, and the Wujiang River boast spectacular scenery. And Chongqing also enjoys long historical culture. Therefore, 53 scenic areas/spots, like sparkling “pearls”, have formed this meteorological park.

Meteorological observation park, Bishan District

After completion, the meteorological park will combine diversified functions, such as appreciation, leisure, healthcare, and popularization of science. Therefore, Chongqing’s meteorological, cultural, tourism and technological brands will certainly draw more attention from across China and even the world. They will also attract a growing number of domestic and foreign tourists to enjoy their tour in the Three Gorges.
