Chongqing - On the afternoon of January 21, Flight 3U605 departed from Urumchi Diwopu International Airport. It marked the official opening of the Urumchi-Chongqing-Sydney route.

The route will employ Airbus A330, with one flight every Monday and Thursday.

Schedule of the new route

Sichuan Airlines has operated the route of Chengdu-Melbourne since 2012 and Chongqing-Sydney since 2013. The two routes have helped set up high-quality circular tourist routes from western China to Australia. And more and more tourists choose to travel to Australia via Chengdu and Chongqing.
