Chongqing Major is now playing at Ba`nan District, Chongqing. During the intense game, Lawrence, a freelance e-sports reporter from U.K. and iChongqing have organized a Kung Fu Fun Contest for players and commenters at a hotel. The game players and commenters were given a chance to experience Chinese traditional Kung Fu with Yunkai Liu, a Kung Fu master in local Chongqing. “Although master Liu is 72 years old, he is so energetic and super cool when he does the movement with a sword!” said Lawrence. The participants of the Fun Contest from different countries including Peru, the U.S., Brazil, and etc., all of them were surprised by Master Liu’s performance.

"Chinese Kung Fu needs everyday practice"

The Kung Fu Contest has two sections, one is a set of 5 basic practice movements, and the other is the movement with a sword. Master Liu has a really powerful performance as standard. Nevertheless, the participators feel difficult to complete all the movements. Demonstrated form Master Liu, Chinese Kung Fu needs practice every day since a young age. He started practice when he was about 20 years old. He had a good foundation in youth, and he had won the championship in a national competition with his stunt. Liu’s Kung Fu teacher is one of the 10 most powerful masters in China, he is in the sect of E`mei, which is a sect that most local Kung Fu belongs to.

All of the participants have learned fundamental practice actions of Chinese Kung Fu. It is interesting to see how players from different countries who make great efforts to learn Chinese Kung Fu.

After skill learning, one of the participants indicated that he could survive from the game of Chongqing Major, he thought he could also survive from Chinese Kung Fu Fun Contest as well. All the participants show their respects to Master Liu and Chinese Kung Fu, and appreciated that they learned a good lesson.
