February 17, or the 13th day of the first lunar month held a significant event. The Tongliang's fire dragon dance started its exhibition and performance in Taiwan Nantou County. The theme is “Sparkles in Taiwan”. Moreover, the team performed fire dragon dance for the third time to offer new-year blessings to the audiences in Taiwan.

The gorgeous performance caught people's eyes 

In Nantou County, eight plates of burning fire formed a circle. 16 barebacked young men splashed the molten iron in the air. The sparkles, from the iron melted under the temperature over 1,200℃, were like scattering blossoms from heavenly maids. Another 20 performers, also with bared backs, were holding two golden-yellow dragons with fireworks spraying from the mouths and bodies. The fire dragons were flying and shuttling amid the sparkles. And the fantastic scene with flying dragons and dancing people in fire won excited screams from nearly 20,000 audiences present. Under the prolonged applause, the atmosphere of the site reached a peak.

It was the third time the dragon dance showed up in Taiwan

During the Lantern Festival in 2017 and 2018, Chongqing Tongliang’s fire dragon teams received the invitation and visited Taiwan twice. They performed the Tongliang fire dragon dance here under the theme of “Sparkles in Taiwan”. And the performance won enthusiastic responses and a flood of appreciation from Taiwan people. Many visitors felt quite cheerful and clamored for more shows. The fire dragon team will head for Changhua County in Taiwan for another performance.
