Chongqing-Chongqing in Southwest China has 71 business friendly cooperative partners around the world, according to 2019 Work Conference of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Chongqing Committee (CCPIT Chongqing) on February 25. Moreover, Chongqing will focus on promoting new cooperative relations with the industrial and commercial institutions of the countries along the “Belt and Road” thie year.

Mr. He Yi, President of CCPIT Chongqing, said that this year the city's trade promotion council will focus on countries along the Belt and Road as well as emerging markets in South America and Africa. Moreover, Chongqing will conduct mutual business visits with Brazil, Israel, Tunisia, Hungary, Germany, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries.  Furthermore, Chongqing delegations will participate in activities including the 13th China-LAC Business Summit in Panama, the 2nd Meeting between Chinese and Arab Entrepreneurs of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum and an exchange conference between China (Chongqing) and India on production capacity.

12 overseas trade talks 

“This year, Chongqing will deepen its relationship with 71 global business-friendly cooperative partners,” said Mr. He Yi. Additionally, deepening cooperation areas are smart industry and automobile, motorcycle, electronics, materials, energy, chemical, equipment manufacturing, biomedicine and other main industries. Furthermore, business matchmaking meetings, investment talks, and product promotion meetings on a cooperative basis will serve as a platform for enterprises to sign orders.

In order to help enterprises seek business opportunities and promote investment and capacity cooperation, CCPIT Chongqing will organize local enterprises to go to many countries and regions for a total of 12 trade talks.

For example, in May, a group of automobile, motorcycle and spare parts enterprises will participate in the auto and motor show in Nigeria and Kenya; the logistics industry chain related companies will go to Germany and the Netherlands to participate in the 2019 edition of transport logistics in Munich, Germany, in June; in September, relevant businesses will go to Bolivia and Peru for the Chongqing commodities exhibition; a group of agricultural fruit companies will go to Dubai and Jordan  for the international food exhibition in December.

1-2 overseas representative offices

At the same time, Chongqing will also strengthen exchanges and cooperation with overseas counterpart institutions and foreign trade promotion agencies, business associations, economic and trade representative offices that have established contacts, and establish an information sharing mechanism. Furthermore, CCPIT Chongqing endeavors to establish 1-2 overseas representative offices.
