Chongqing- The press conference of 2019 Tea-Cultural Event of Banan District kicked off on March 7. According to the conference, Banan District will conduct a series of relevant activities to enhance the tourist development there. In addition to tea-culture, there are several tourist routes for flower enjoying on the occasion.

Banan District – an excellent area for culture and tourism

This is an urban district in Chongqing with abundant resources in this city. Meanwhile, it is the largest natural garden of downtown Chongqing, earning the title of “excellent tourist district in China”.

In addition, Banan District is the first “hometown of hot spring” in western China. Chongqing is famous for the “capital of hot springs”. Moreover, it embraces two of the TOP5 hot springs in Chongqing – eastern hot spring and southern hot spring.

On the other hand, Hanhai Ocean Park is the largest marine-themed park in southwestern China. Huaxi Live Banan International Cultural and Sports Center becomes the new landmark of international sports in this city. Banan District is developing with increasing speed.

Except for tourist resources, Banan District also embraces cultural resources. There are several historical and cultural protected sites to record the history and culture happened in the past. Furthermore, Mudong Shange (folk songs from Mudong) and Jielong Chuida (traditional orchestral percussion music) belong to intangible cultural heritage.

International activities for overseas friends

In 2019, the event will kick off there in Banan District. There will be two major activities to warm the tea-cultural event. There will be a contest for photographing or video recording. The contest focuses on “meet with you in the flowers” to enjoy the season of spring there. Also, the organizer invites tourist and internet celebrities to explore Banan District, presenting a different angle to the public.

Moreover, the second state is the major one of the tea-cultural event. The opening ceremony will kick off at Huaxi Live Banan International Cultural and Sports Center on March 22. After the ceremony, the organizer will start a forum for investment and cooperation.

Then, from March 23 to 29, the tea-cultural week will show up at the Dingxin Tea Plantation Base in Baixiang Mountain. In this week, the organizer will invite experts as well as tea lovers to taste spring tea there. Besides, there are other tea-relevant activities, such as teaching overseas friends to make tea and driving to the tea mountain.

Besides, there will be some subsequent activities from the middle of March. The International Cycling Competition will kick off on March 26. Afterward, mountain biking game, flower festivals, and food carnival will begin in Banan District. Furthermore, the organizer will conduct the lessons for intangible cultural heritage at Mudonghe Street on March 30.
