Two years have passed since the establishment of China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone. According to Liangjiang New Area on April 9, Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area, an important window for its opening-up, has attracted 608 enterprises to settle in from 2017 to 2018, reaching 2,030 in total.

In the past two years, the port has achieved an above-scale industrial output of RMB 141.372 billion, a total import and export volume of about RMB 195.663 billion, the foreign investment in actual use of about USD 1.737 billion, and the value of the goods under customs supervision of USD 56.87 billion. It has played an obvious supporting and driving role in Chongqing’s export-oriented economic development.

About 50.8 million smart terminal products produced in the past two years

Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area has seen about 50.8 million smart terminal products produced in recent two years, with an average annual growth rate reaching 20%. It has also achieved an average annual increase of over 40% in industrial added value, with double-digit growth of all key indicators.

By virtue of the First Smart China Expo or SCE, it is making every effort to build an important global intelligent terminal production base. Four intelligent terminal manufacturers including Digitek, Wistron, Compal Electronics, and Yibao have gradually transformed from pursuing high-speed growth to striving for high-quality development by expanding the processed product categories and extending the industrial chains.

The compression of the overall customs clearance duration reaches over 65%

In order to improve the timeliness of customs clearance for imported and exported cargos, Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area made efforts on the one-step declaration, one-step customs clearance, one-step inspection, and one-step release. Moreover, it has also strengthened the guarantee of “24-7 service” for customs clearance, comprehensively promoted paperless customs clearance procedures, and increased investment in intelligent regulatory equipment. According to the introduction, its overall customs clearance duration has achieved a year-on-year compression of more than 65%.
