On April 10, performers were rehearsing Dayu in Chongqing International Circus City. It is a top large acrobatic show in China, with a huge cost of RMB 30 million.
Since it is an acrobatic drama, a variety of performances is an absolute must. It is the showcase of the most difficult acrobatics.
The inside space of the Circus City is over 30 meters high, and there are more than 10 meters of space below the stage. This structure has therefore provided a vast scope for the art troupe to perform aerial acrobatics.
In addition to the commonly-seen high-wire acts, the spectators can also see the world’s hardest octagonal “Breaking Wheel”.
Furthermore, they can enjoy the most difficult performance of balancing on pipes. Acrobats stand on five staggered poles to perform the juggling balls.
The 90-minute Dayu covers all kinds of beautiful, breathtaking acrobatics, offering spectators continuous visual feasts.
The superb performance is vital, but the wonderful stage effect plays a better role in bringing spectators into the show. The significant part goes to various high-end hardware and software devices.
As the preparation has completed, Dayu will serve as a new culture and tourism symbol of Chongqing. Its release will enable the Circus City to deserve its name, and therefore, visitors can appreciate the unique charm of Chongqing’s acrobatic art.
