OEMs make products mainly for large brands with their product structure, production line, and process management adjusted according to specific demands.

Besides Inventec, original equipment manufacturers like Quanta Computer and Foxconn also carry out intelligent upgrading, achieving the remarkable effect. Despite the sluggish global markets for laptops, Chongqing Xiyong Micro-electronics Industrial Park has contributed a lot to the stable productivity in Chongqing.
In 2018, the total value of the city’s foreign trade reached RMB 522.2 billion, increasing by 15.9% year on year, which marked the second time when its foreign trade value exceeding RMB 500 billion after 2014. According to statistics from Chongqing Customs District P.R.CHINA, in the first two months this year, the total import and export value of Chongqing was RMB 83.9 billion, with a YOY increase of 17.4%, marking a “good start”.

In the first two months of this year, its import and export value reached RMB 27.8 billion, increasing by 11.2%.

Actually, the main business form of all the four bonded zones in Chongqing (including Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area, Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Chongqing Fuling Comprehensive Bonded Zone) is processing trade. According to statistics from Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the processing trade value of these bonded zones accounts for 94.7% of the city’s total.
