This year marks the eighth consecutive year that the top event in sport climbing has settled in Chongqing and the sixth in a row in Jiulongpo District.

As the top sporting event in the rock climbing sport, the Climbing World Cup represents the world's top level of rock climbing. While promoting the popularization of climbing sports, it also promotes the improvement of Chongqing's local rock climbing competition.

Only 40 top players in the world are eligible to display themselves on the Tokyo Olympic stage next year. Rankings this year play a crucial role in whether athletes can be qualified for the Olympics. The top 20 athletes of the World Cup for men and women will have the opportunity to participate in the finals held in France at the end of this year.
