On April 25, Liangjiang achieved a comprehensive strategic partnership with Duisburger Hafen AG (abbreviated as Duisport below) of Germany in the logistics field as well as the planning and operation of logistics hub projects.
According to the agreement, Liangjiang side should provide policy support and integrated resources as a government platform while the Duisport side offers the technical know-how, experience and managing skills, overseas supplies, resources in planning, implementing, managing of terminals and logistics sector experience.
Both sides will put joint effort into building a multimodal transport system linking the waterway of Guoyuan Port and the railway of Yuzui Port in the Area, focusing on efficiently connecting the two ports with logistics schemes.
In addition, relying on specialized and effective experience in operating and managing railway stations and ports, Duisport will provide the two ports with planning and operational guidance in logistics, complemented by relevant cooperation in business operation.
Taking full advantage of Duisport and Guoyuan Port, the cooperation between the two sides will form a two-way linkage for opening-up, thus boosting the construction of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
